Affiliate Marketing..!

How to Make Money From Affiliate Marketing:
Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. It is an application of crowdsourcing.
The Affiliate Marketing industry has four core players at its heart: the Merchant (also known informally as 'Retailer' or 'Brand'), the Network, the Publisher (also known informally as 'the Affiliate') and the Customer. The market has grown sufficiently in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including Affiliate Management Agencies, Super-Affiliates and Specialized Third Parties vendors.
Marketing and selling someone else's product through a link is affiliate marketing. The seller, called the affiliate, signs up with a company such as eBay, Amazon or and of the thousands of companies and individuals that have affiliate marketing networks in place. The affiliate is then given links to sell the product and may be given banner ads and other promotional items that will help them to make sales. Each time someone clicks through the links or banner ads that were placed by the affiliate, goes to the seller's site and then buys the product, the affiliate earns a commission. A commission is usually a percentage of the sale price, but it may be a flat rate instead.

How to Place Affiliate Links:

Many Internet marketers use article directories to place useful information that's geared toward people who will be interested in the product that's being advertised. There are some article directories that allow affiliate ads, but some, such as Ezine Articles, don't allow affiliate links at all. To use article directories for affiliate marketing, concentrate on article directories that have high page rank and that allow affiliate links. These include Article Dashboard and Article Pool.
Other sites that allow affiliate links include eHow, Bukisa and Xomba. The affiliate links added to eHow and Bukisa must pertain to the general topic of the article submitted to the site. With Xomba, the link itself can be bookmarked.

Affiliate Marketing Quick Intro
You probably already know what affiliate marketing is. But for the sake of completeness, I will give you a brief insight on the subject.
First and foremost, affiliate marketing is choice. This means that you are free to choose the market you want to get into and you have no obligation concerning the products you promote. Are you interested in bodybuilding but don’t feel comfortable promoting bodybuilding supplements? No problem – there are tons of other products in the bodybuilding industry, such as equipment and even online courses, without actually having to manufacture the equipment or write the course yourself. This is the power of affiliate marketing; the power of choice.

Market Research & Niche Selection
Now I know you are excited about this whole thing, so let’s dive right into the first step of your online business: Market Research.
This is a matter of personal choice. There is a product to promote in just about every niche you can imagine. For marketing ideas, you can go on Amazon.com or/and Clickbank.com/marketplace.

Placing your mouse on a category will expand into smaller categories (like I did with the Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry section).

Same thing on the Clickbank marketplace. Tons of markets (and more if you scroll down).
What I personally do when choosing a niche to get into, I try to follow this rule:
This should be a niche that I like AND that is desperate or a raving hobby among the target market”
Actually, I consider a niche golden even if I have no particular interest in that field if it is in the desperate market.
Examples of desperate niches are: weight loss, getting your ex back, seduction etc. These are niches that people will continue to buy till the end of the world.
The first hobby niche that comes to my mind is: golf. Golfers are rabid buyers. They’ll sacrifice food and clothing to buy golf equipment! So it’s a good niche to consider.

Product Selection
You guessed it. Yes, you can select the products you’d like to promote from the marketplaces on Amazon and Clickbank themselves.
Amazon sells mostly physical products. Clickbank goes for digital products like e-books or online home study courses whereby nothing physically ships to the customer’s door, but is instead instantly available for download or viewing on his computer screen.
Both of them have their ups and downs.
Physical products typically pay out less commissions (around 4% – 7%, depending).
Digital products are delivered immediately after payment and offer a larger cut (50% – 100%). However, since it is so much easier to ask for a refund (and get to keep the products as well!), refund rates are much higher.
On Amazon, I would choose a product that sells for $100 or more and with multiple good reviews. Multiple good reviews so that the buyer is comfortable to make a purchase, and more than $100 for a healthy commission.
On Clickbank, I would go for a product with a healthy amount of competition and which gives me at least 60% commission. Healthy amount of competition for me means that it SHOULD have some because competition is an indicator that a product sells.

Keyword Research
This step is critical. It can make or break your affiliate business. With that said, it doesn’t mean that keyword research should be made complicated. There are literally hundreds of keyword research methods, and putting them all here will do nothing but increase your confusions and overwhelm – so I’ll only give you the essentials so that you can quickly get started.
What I like to do is, once I’ve chosen a product (or multiple products) to promote, I’ll open each of them in a new tab. Then I’ll open another new tab and go to the Google Adwords Keyword Tooland paste in the product URL in the “Website”.

This is me doing it with a product I found on Clickbank. You can find a lot of keyword around which to write articles and post to your website or article directories.
Now, while the GAKT is a great piece of free software, I personally use and recommend what I consider to be a superior keyword research tool: Market Samurai.
The reason I absolutely love this tool is that it gives me much more that just the monthly searches and a broad idea of the competition.

For example, SEOV value is the value of the profitability of the keyword. I’m not going to evaluate too much on the software as Market Samurai also has a full in-depth training with videos in its Member’s Area (totally worth it).
The following steps are for those using the GAKT only, as Market Samurai does them automatically for you. However, MS users may also want to read it to get an idea on how the software actually makes these calculations.
Choose keywords having at the very least 1000 searches per month.
Once you’ve gathered a list of keywords, do this.
Open a new tab in your web browser and go to google.com. Type in your first keyword in between quotes like this: “build muscle” and hit Search.

Oops. 1,570,000 results. That’s bad. This means that there are 1,570,000 competing webpages for that keyphrase. As a beginner, you don’t want to compete with that amount. You need to find something below 50,000. Preferably even below 30,000.
And how do you do this? By typing in your keyword phrases, one by one, in quotes in Google. Sounds hard work? That’s why I use Market Samurai, it does it all within a click!
Next, once you get a list of keywords that meet the above requirement, you need to run through that new list and type in: allintitle:“build muscle” in Google (with YOUR keywords obviously).
The number of returns you get indicates the number of websites with the keyword in the title. You should keep the number below 2000, preferably 1500.
Again, I’d use Market Samurai if I were you!
Create a list of keywords that meet the requirements above and move on to the next step.
